Sturm Graz supports an initiative of the Styrian Pedagogical University and the Bad Radkersburg State Vocational School, which advocates for movement breaks in the school day. Under the theme „Fit in the head through movement breaks“, the two institutions set a strong sign for the importance of movement in the educational day. The participants experienced a variety of activating movement units, which not only provided high motivation, but also conveyed concrete approaches for the school day. Also in focus were short, easily implementable movement breaks, which promoted concentration, well-being, and learning performance equally. Sturm Graz was represented by Thomas Tebbich, who was active as a professional athlete in the 10-kilometer run for many years. The participation of Sturm Graz gave the event additional visibility and practicality. The joint participation in the business run was a sporting highlight, in which 47 students and teachers participated and put the team spirit in the foreground. Director Roswitha Krenn of the LBS Bad Radkersburg drew a positive balance: „The successful cooperation has clearly shown what potential lies in the connection of movement and learning. At the same time, it became clear how important sustainable impulses are for a health-conscious school day.“
