Filip Rozga will be sidelined for Sturm Graz for several weeks. The 20-year-old Polish midfielder suffered a thigh injury during the Bundesliga away match at Red Bull Salzburg.

Sporting director Michael Parensen described the renewed absence as very bitter and arduous. It is especially disappointing for the player himself, after he had just celebrated his comeback a week ago, Parensen said. Rozga had previously been out injured for two months and had only just made brief returns in matches against LASK and Salzburg, as well as in the Europa League against Rennes.

Head coach Fabio Ingolitsch must now again do without the attacking player during the ongoing international break. The setback hits a team that has managed just one win in its last five competitive matches. Following the defeat in Salzburg, Sturm Graz sits in the Bundesliga table. They are points behind league leaders Rapid Vienna.

The next matchday sees Sturm Graz travel to face Austria Vienna, currently in a league position, on October 10.
