Player Statement

"The past year was not always easy for me personally and not exactly as I imagined. Nevertheless, I gained valuable experience and gave my all. Now MLS presents a new challenge that I look forward to. I wish my teammates the best for the season," Malone said.

Sturm Executive

Sporting director Michael Parensen thanked the striker: "Maurice behaved exemplary during his time at Sturm and always put the team first. Not all sporting situations develop as originally envisioned - that’s part of football. Nevertheless, we are happy to have found an excellent solution for all parties. We thank Maurice for his commitment, professionalism and the time he spent with Sturm. We wish him all the best for his sporting and personal future."
